Samuel Beckett Bridge in Irish: Droichead Samuel Beckett is a Cable stayed bridge in Dublin, Ireland. It links the Northside and Southside of the city over the River Liffey in the Dublin Docklands. Construction commenced in May 2007 and the bridge opened to traffic on the 11th December 2009. The iconic structure was commissioned by Dublin City Council and designed by the internationally acclaimed artist, architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava.
