The Ferryman pub at night

The Ferryman pub was built by Lord Cardiff around the 1780’s. It consists of two listed Georgian buildings full of character. The Liffey Ferry used to cross at this point to transport workers from the North side to the South side of the river to work in the Gasometer and Dublin’s ship building yard. Up to the mid 1980’s Guinness boats carrying barrels of their famous Guinness sailed past The Ferryman. The Ferryman is steeped in Dublin history.
