Howth Summit

Howth Summit has excellent views across Dublin Bay right across to County Wicklow. From the top of Howth Summit you can take a lovely picturesque walk to the top of the Ben of Howth, a headland near the village, which has a cairn(human-made pile of stones raised for a purpose) and it is believed to mark a 2000-year-old Celtic royal grave. The Baily Lighthouse built in 1814, at the southeastern corner, is on the site of an old stone fort and can be reached by a dramatic clifftop walk.
